Best quality Jodhpur boots, full grain leather early vintage. I have had a pair identical that were stamped John Lobb, so I am surmising these are produced by them. But no makers mark, or the makers mark has been rubbed out.

This is the true Jodhpur with strap, not the type with the elastic gusset, the so-called Chelsea Boot. Goodyear welted, fully leather-lined and made from Full-Grain Calfskin, this is a most handsome and durable boot and my personal favourite among the Jodhpur variations; simple, sleek and elegant. The sleek plain toe shows as beautifully under dress trousers as under jeans. The substantial sole and the ankle support of the high top give a sense of stability, standing or walking, that few other shoes provide.
Made by Lobb during the 1950s under special order for the once exclusive Boston tailor, A. Beckwith & Co. With hand-channelled and skived sewn welt, this is an extremely well made classic shoe of bespoke quality, and in this impossibly difficut size, a great find"
